What if our shadows were our trapped selves fighting to be seen? Dancing in the Shadows is the story of a lonesome figure, drifting within a metropolis in search of self-expression.
A lonesome and deflated figure aimlessly roams the metropolis. They gradually realise that their shadow has come to life, moving freely from and separate to its owner.
At first the figure tries to run away from its shadow but then becomes mesmerised, by the way it moves and dances, reconfiguring our perception of the urban landscape.
The shadow then encounters another shadow and together they coalesce and dance, transcending their figures into more abstract shapes and movements, forming a unison through dance.
